Darkthrone - Hordes of Nebulah

I’ve always felt that Darkthrone are one of the few black metal bands that not only truly understood, but also made black metal. I’m not saying they’re the only ones, but they most definitely made it clear that black metal isn’t supposed to be like anything else, and they stuck to that idea. This song is one of my favorites in their discography. It’s evil. And heavy. As is the rest of this record.
Whether it’s Panzerfaust or Total Death, Darkthrone always manage to produce something priceless. Unlike Satyricon. I fucking can’t stand Satyricon. Hail Fenriz.

A tip: go watch the documentary Until the Light Takes Us. It really makes it easy to see what black metal really is and should be about. Plus… FENRIZ.
